This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Universal TV Remote — a mobile app that allows users to control Android/Google TV devices (including popular TV boxes and streaming devices such as Chromecast/Google TV, Mi Box, FPT Play Box, TV360/Viettel TV Box, and other compatible Android TV boxes), Samsung (Tizen) TVs, LG WebOS TVs, and Roku TVs (Roku OS) over a local Wi-Fi network.
This app is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Google LLC, LG Electronics Inc., or Sony Corporation.
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device information such as IP address, advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID), device type, and ad performance data. We do not directly collect or store this information.
Premium features are offered via auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store payment information.
The microphone is used only while you hold a voice session. For Android TV, audio is streamed directly to your TV over your local Wi-Fi. For Samsung, LG and Roku, your speech is converted to text by your phone's speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), which may process the audio under its own privacy policy. We do not record, store or send voice audio to our servers.
If you choose to cast, the app reads only the photos or videos you select and streams them from your phone to your TV over your local network. Your media is never uploaded to our servers.
We use Google Firebase Analytics and our own analytics server to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. This includes a random installation ID, app version, platform, country, the brand and name of the TV you connect, feature usage events (such as connecting or using voice) and subscription events. It does not include your name, email, contacts, voice, photos or videos.
The app requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to discover and connect to supported TVs on the same network. No remote commands or viewing data are sent to our servers.
Subscriptions are billed to your Google Play account and renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel them at any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

We do not sell personal data. Limited data is shared only with service providers that run the app: Google AdMob (ads), Google Firebase (analytics), Google Play or the Apple App Store (subscriptions), and your phone's speech recognition service when you use voice with Samsung, LG or Roku TVs.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such data is identified, it will be deleted.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
